Eighth grade students attend the LEAP expo Sept. 7 at the Texarkana Convention Center. The LEAP expo aims to provide 8th grade students with information on local employers, careers, and training programs as it relates to the high school endorsement areas (STEM, Business and Industry, Arts and Humanities and Public Services).




Mrs. Hutchinson's 5th grade science classes have been busy familiarizing themselves with tools and equipment they will be using in the lab this year.




Congratulations to QCHS senior, Tanner McCarthy. Tanner successfully completed all the requirements at MEPS yesterday. He is now officially a member of the United States Marine Corps and will be leaving for training soon after graduation. Tanner, we are proud of you and appreciate your willingness to serve our country!

The Morris Upchurch Middle School chapter of the National Junior Honor Society held their induction ceremony last night. The 2021-22 NJHS Officers presided over the proceedings. After reciting the NJHS oath, the sixteen new members were recognized by Principal, Susan Childress and received their certificate of membership from NJHS Sponsor, Kimberly Raines. Mrs. Raines also presented the nineteen 8th grade members with their NJHS pin.
The Lady Bulldog softball team took sole possession of 1st place in the district last night with their 9-1 win over the Lady Hornets of Hooks. Great job, Ladies!
