Queen City ISD is proud to celebrate Officer Kayla Berry, who is now officially commissioned as a patrol officer with the Queen City ISD Police Department.
Officer Berry has been a valued member of the QCISD-PD team for some time, serving our district with dedication and professionalism. On December 5, 2025, she successfully passed the Texas Peace Officer Exam, and after completing all remaining licensing requirements, she was officially commissioned on January 14, 2026.
A proud graduate of Texas High School, Officer Berry went on to earn her degree from Texas A&M University–Texarkana. Prior to her work with QCISD, she was licensed as an officer and investigator with the Texarkana, Arkansas Police Department, bringing valuable experience and knowledge to our district.
Officer Berry is assigned to the J.K. Hileman Elementary (JKH) campus, where she has already built strong relationships and plays an important role in maintaining a safe, secure learning environment for students and staff.
She is supported by her husband, Cory Berry, and her stepdaughter, Allie, who attends MUMS, making her service to QCISD especially meaningful as she protects and serves a community she calls home.
As a small police department, QCISD-PD is incredibly proud to have Officer Berry on our team. Queen City ISD is grateful for her commitment, proud of her accomplishments, and excited to officially recognize her as a fully commissioned officer serving our district.
