Several outstanding Bulldogs recently represented Queen City High School at the Region 8 Science Fair, and Callie Burris, Secondary Science Consultant for Region 8 Education Service Center was on campus this morning to present their awards.
Carter Aucoin earned 1st Place in the High School Chemical/Physical Division with his project, “Switching Gears.”
Rowan Thomas placed 5th in the Chemical/Physical Division with her project, “Crystal Chemistry: From Ice to Inferno.”
Abigail Leverett finished 6th in the Inventions Category with her project, “The Squat Depth.” (A perfectly fitting project for our state-qualifying powerlifter!)
The creativity it takes to develop an original idea, combined with the dedication and work ethic required to carry a project from concept to competition, is truly impressive. These students exemplify Bulldog determination both inside and outside the classroom.
