Ten students from J.K. Hileman Elementary had the opportunity to participate in Shop with a Cop this week. Mrs. Kennedy and Officer Berry loaded up the kiddos and headed out to Walmart early Tuesday morning, where they were greeted at the door by dozens of first responders—along with the Grinch and Santa Claus themselves.
After slipping on their Santa hats and posing for a quick picture, the group got straight to the business at hand: shopping. What began with nervous looks and a bit of uncertainty quickly transformed into brilliant smiles and pure joy as students embraced the experience.
This heartwarming event is easily one of Cass County’s finest traditions and remains a favorite day of the year filled with blessings for everyone involved!
