The National Honor Society

The National Honor Society (NHS) was established to recognize outstanding high school students. National Honor Society recognizes students who show excellence in the areas of Service, Character, Leadership, and Scholarship. These characteristics have been connected with membership in the organization since it was created in 1921.
It is estimated that more than one million students participate in activities of the NHS. The District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, all 50 states in the U.S., and Canada carry chapters of the NHS. Student Council

Student Council is an organization of students and faculty moderators that work for the general welfare of the school by promoting school morale, spirit, and cooperation between the student body, the faculty, and the administration. The purpose of the student council is to give QCISD students the opportunity to undertake leadership roles within the school community and to enhance the quality of student life by acting as a "voice" in administrative decisions and planning. Two key activities organized by the Student Council are the Blood Drive and Red Ribbon Week. The Student Council members play a very important role in every school: they help share students' ideas, interests, and concerns with the teachers and principal, they help the students raise funds for school wide projects, they assist the community when they are in need of aid. Thus, Student Council membership will help our students become responsible and active members of the community.
